Zero parallax is the end result of being conscious. It means being conscious of ourselves, (our body, the thoughts that we are thinking, the ideas that we are pursuing,) our environment and the people we are with. It also means being aware of what we are trying to do, or accomplish. With an awareness of what we are trying to do we can direct our senses appropriately. We can positons ourselves, and we can act both on what we are trying to do and based on what our senses tell us of the situation we are in now. We can thus respond in the moment, in tune with both ourselves and the world around us.
If your focus is on what you are trying to do, not on what makes doing what you are trying to do so difficult, you can direct both your senses and your response to what you sense based on what you are trying to do.
You remove any mental baggage and get what you are trying to do done.
Part of being able to think clearly and get on with what we are trying to can involve having an understanding of how consciousness works. To this end a model of consciousness is helpful.
